Charlie talked about the meaning of the song “Standup Guy.” during Bad Barry’s September 2011 interview on Dave the Boogieman’s show at Radio New York International.
“That one is for all the regular Joes, sad sacks and Rodney Dangerfields out there. It offers hope…that they’re not the only ones struggling to get a date. There’s the…humorous twist ending to remind them what pathetic losers they are. And I say that with nothing but love.”

Here’s Charlie’s uncanny description of the KOs during Bad Barry’s September 2011 interview on Dave the Boogieman’s show at Radio New York International.
“If the bastard son of Jonny Quest and the Monkees mated with the half-wit daughter of the Archies and Get Smart, their idiot offspring would be us.” The string of painfully obscure pop culture references prompted the entire listening audience to take an immediate bathroom break.

During Bad Barry’s September 2011 interview on Dave the Boogieman’s show at Radio New York International, Charlie described the creative genesis behind the song “Icarus.”
“Icarus came to me in a dream. And in that dream he said, ‘Whatever you do, don’t write another cliche song about the boy whose wax wings melted when he flew too close to the sun.’ And I thought to myself, ‘Who the Hell is he to tell me what kind of song to do? Who died and voted him king?’ Icarus, if you’re listening…take THAT, you sorry excuse for a Greek legend.”

Can You Guess “Which Review Is Real?”
“The sophomore effort from Alden Kahn and the KOs will definitely launch them from relative obscurity into utter oblivion.” –Groovetastic On Line
“…the music sounds like Elvis Costello with a horn section…grandiose and overstated, and beautifully produced. Mr. Kahn knows his pop, and this album moves with plenty of pure pop sensibility in a variety of genres, almost like some sort of twisted musical.”
–Mish Mash Indie Review
“The appeal of Alden Kahn cannot be denied, but only because the subject never comes up.”
–Songcraft Magazine
